Film & Television Production Portfolio Autumn 2024/2025

IADT Portfolio courses (non-accredited) are designed for prospective third level students who are considering a course for which a Portfolio is mandatory. The Film & TV Production Portfolio Course will run on Wednesday evenings from October 24 - March 2025.

Course Description

IADT Portfolio courses (non-accredited) are designed for prospective third level students who are considering a course for which a Portfolio is mandatory. The Film + Television Production portfolio course aims to prepare students for entry to Third Level Art Colleges that offer undergraduate Film and TV Production Programmes in Ireland and abroad.

The course will help foster the skills & knowledge for portfolio development. It will facilitate portfolio structure & content and help gain practical knowledge about Film & TV production. It will give students the tools to create their own portfolio, either with content they already have created or new content from this course. 

It will cover the basics of camerawork, framing, audio & lighting in order to assist the creation of content for a portfolio. It will cover the basics of editing in order to put together a portfolio showreel. 

The course will focus on the requirements of the students in a student lead setting, allowing for more time to be dedicated where they would like in order to create their portfolio.

This course also includes a full day of hands-on shooting, scheduled on to be on a Saturday.

IADT portfolio courses are open to students aged sixteen and over.
